The meaning behind the smile

Something these last few months has taught me is that being sad is something you should embrace. Acknowledging how you are feeling is the first step of getting better. Mental Health is overlooked yet so many people struggle with it and suffer in silence. Whether we want to admit it or not, there is a bad stigma around it. For a while I didn’t prioritize taking care of myself and I felt like I wasn't going to make it out of the terrible low I’d fallen into. Growth is uncomfortable, and these last few months I’ve definitely gone out of my comfort zone by being so open about my mental health. I’ve learned that it really is okay to be sad and ask for help, and there is so much strength within admitting you aren’t feeling the best. You’re not in this alone and speaking up about how you’re feeling could help you as well as other around you going through the same things. This sweatshirt is a constant reminder that it’s okay to feel low, embrace these feelings and take the steps you need to get better. You have nothing to lose from working on yourself :)
