The meaning behind the smile

I was 2 weeks in to my freshman year of college when I first saw this quote, I was very suicidal and school was driving me to think of the worst, I checked into the mental hospital the 4th week of the school year and constantly told myself I was going to do whatever I needed to do to get better and help get rid of those thoughts and this quote was a constant reminder of looking towards the future and how we’ll never know what we’ll be missing out on if we don’t stay. It reminded me that I’m not a bother to those around me and there’s people who care. There’s a life where we’re needed.
